Teaching Assistant job summary

Part of Cumbria Education Trust, The Queen Katherine School is seeking a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly, experienced team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Give individual support to named students
  • Have the skills to work with students who have complex needs
  • Work with Learning Support Teachers to deliver planned programmes

GCSE English and Maths (grade c/4 or above- or equivalent) are essential. The successful candidate should hold a relevant professional qualification to at least NVQ level 2, or be able to demonstrate competency through proven experience in a similar role

Hours of work: 33 per week

Working pattern: 08.30 – 15.30 Monday to Friday (Plus a 30 minute team meeting each Thursday from 15:30-16:00)

Term weeks: 38 plus Inset (39 working weeks)
