Teaching Assistant job summary

Chelveston Road School is a school for students with special educational needs and disabilities. The school is part of the Better Together Learning Trust and caters for students with a range of learning and cognition needs as well as autism. In September 2022, Chelveston Road School opened its Post 16 provision to Year 12 students and in September 2025 we will welcome our final cohort of students and will have students in every year group.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support high quality teaching and learning across the Trust/School. The successful applicants must possess the necessary skills to assist our students to make even better progress and gain skills and accreditation for later life.

Demonstrate their ability to work both as a member of a team and individually.

Can demonstrate an awareness of the needs of our students.

Has a good level of education with appropriate literacy and numeracy skills.

Possess good communication skills both verbally and written.

A positive attitude and drive are also very important to us.
