Teaching Assistant (Child Specific)
Required for January 2025
Full time 32.5 hours
Fixed term to August 2026
SALARY: BAND B (24,027 - £24,790 pro-rata’d)
The role requires the flexibility to work across the St Alphege CE Schools and year groups as required.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with the ability to support our pupils and class teachers across the curriculum. You should enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with teaching staff to support pupils, individually or in small groups. An interest in supporting the progression and improvements of our school ethos and values is essential. The role is an exciting chance to play a pivotal role in the progression of our schools.
Candidates need to be:
- Supportive of the schools Christian values
- Able to supervise and provide particular support for pupils with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
- Committed and enthusiastic, able to inspire and motivate on a one to one basis
- Interested in supporting children with sensory and communication needs
- Knowledgeable in developing pupil’s early reading skills
- Knowledgeable of the Key Stage 1/2 curriculum
- Friendly and approachable
- Organised and enjoy working as part of a team
