Teaching Assistant job summary

Do you want to support pupils with their learning and personal development? We are looking for a TA to lead our reading interventions and small group reading sessions across Years 1-3.  If you have strong subject knowledge in how pupils learn to read, experience of leading phonics sessions and reading interventions across the primary phase, we would love to hear from you!    We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is calm, confident and has the skills to be able to support classroom activities safely and can create a positive learning environment. You will have: -maths and English GCSE Grade A- C or equivalent -an interest in SEND and or experience of  supporting pupils with speech and language difficulties would also be advantageous -experience of establishing positive relationships with students and the ability to empathise with their needs. The role of Teaching Assistant is crucial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils; including but not exclusively, those with special education needs. To succeed in this role, you will need to: -motivate and encourage students by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks -consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
