Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking to appoint 2 new members to our Teaching Assistant team. This will involve working closely with one or two children.

Our supportive staff are committed to promoting the best possible outcomes for our friendly, lively and motivated children. Cromer Junior has a strong ethos of inclusion.

You will:

  • be able to support children with a range of challenging needs
  • support children’s learning through the direction of a class teacher and/or within our nurture programme
  • be able to provide unconditional, non-judgemental guidance, care and support
  • relate well to children
  • be an active member of a vibrant, enthusiastic team
  • work with initiative
  • be flexible in dynamic situations

Working 30.5 hours per week during the school’s term-time plus all inset days.

The post is fixed term until 31st August 2026 initially, but with the possibility of being extended according to the needs of the school.
