We are excited to offer this opportunity for a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about helping every child succeed and is committed to supporting high standards in learning, teaching, and behaviour. You’ll need the right mix of personality, skills, and understanding to work with our amazing pupils, along with a real enthusiasm for children’s learning. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who supports pupils consistently while recognising and responding to their individual needs.

About our School

At Coppice Valley Primary we believe children’s first experiences of school should spark joy, curiosity, and a love of learning. We want every child to leave us confident, motivated, and ready for life, with strong academic foundations and a clear sense of who they are. We are proud to be an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school, known for our high standards and caring ethos. We consistently achieve strong results in reading, writing and maths, hold the Healthy Schools Gold Award, and provide a rich, engaging curriculum supported by our distinctive ‘Coppice 50’ experiences and Forest School. Our focus on wellbeing, inclusivity and strong community partnerships creates a vibrant, supportive environment in which both staff and pupils can thrive.

Our talented, dedicated staff team builds warm, positive relationships with pupils and families, creating a supportive, child-focused environment where every learner feels valued and encouraged to achieve their best. We set ambitious expectations for all. Our vibrant curriculum spans reading, writing, maths, science, the arts, humanities, computing, music, and PE—guided by our values of Brave, Curious, and Kind, which shape how we learn and how we treat one another.

Learning at Coppice Valley Primary is brought to life through residentials, museum and theatre trips, concerts, river walks, sporting events, and creative workshops, giving pupils unforgettable experiences alongside essential knowledge. Our spacious grounds and Forest School offer rich outdoor learning that nurtures confidence, curiosity, and a connection with nature. Indoors or out, we try to create engaging learning experiences that excite, challenge, and inspire each and every child.

Here’s what you can expect when you join us:
