Teaching Assistants

We are seeking to appoint caring teaching assistants to join our committed, professional and friendly team working 5 days a week (30 hours) term time only. The current vacancies are within Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 team supporting the learning, social, communication and emotional needs of pupils. The role will include supporting children 1:1 and in small groups and will contribute to raising standards of achievement for all pupils. The role would be suitable for candidates who are looking to begin their career in education as well as those with experience.

We would be particularly interested in hearing from applicants who:

  • have experience in or a desire to work in a Primary School Setting and/or
  • have experience of successfully supporting children with communication and interaction needs (including ASD) or a desire to do so and/or
  • have experience of successfully supporting children with medical, social, emotional and mental health needs or a desire to do so and/or
  • have experience of successfully supporting children for whom English is an additional language

We would expect all Level Two teaching assistants to:

  • have a good rapport with children and are able to engage them in learning
  • have high expectations for pupils’ work and behaviour
  • promote the aims and values of the school
  • work flexibly as part of a team with drive and passion to ensure that all children achieve
  • be willing and able to share good practice and learn from others

The successful candidate will be expected to meet all aspects of the job description.
