Important questions for you to consider before applying:-
Do you want to be part of an experienced, committed team, where children and families are at the heart of everything we do?
Do you thrive in environments which challenge you professionally, emotionally and physically?
Do you want to be in the privileged role of changing children’s lives for the better?
If the answer to all of the above is yes then this might be the right job for you, so read on…
Catton Grove Primary School is a large three form entry school with low staff turnover, so this is a rare opportunity to join our talented, ambitious, committed and caring team! We see what we do as a vocation not a job and, as such, we work hard and go the extra mile for our children when we need to.
This post is to join our Foundation Stage team. We are a large setting with 4 Nursery classrooms and 3 Reception classrooms. The applicant for this post will need to hold a full and relevant Level 3, or above, early years qualification. Please ensure that your qualification is relevant by following this link – https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-qualification-requirements-and-standards
In your role you will be able to effectively support the team in the day to day running of the class, as well as enabling children to learn by supporting them to access learning activities. Our Foundation Stage unit is a very nurturing setting, we plan activities to meet the needs of individual children and empower children to reach their full potential.
We are seeking a candidate with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to communicate and work well with others, along with a willingness to be involved in the wider life of our school. You will be a good role model to all children and be patient, calm, confident, consistent, encouraging and motivating!
We are fortunate to have the best of both worlds as we are the size of a high school but with the feel of a close-knit school family. We are a friendly, committed team who work hard to meet the needs of all children in our school, supporting them to become lifelong learners who believe in themselves and aim high.
Catton Grove is a strong school community, with enthusiastic and inspirational children who are keen to learn. You would be joining a supportive, dedicated team of staff who work hard to enable our children and staff to achieve the best they can.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the school to arrange a telephone conversation with a Senior Leader, prior to application.
