Teaching Assistant Early Years job summary

Teaching Assisstant-32.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:30pm)

Additional Optional Hours for Playworker-2 hours/ week, Monday-Thursday (3:30pm-5:30pm)

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Early Years team. The successful candidate will work across both Nursery and Reception, supporting children at this crucial stage in their learning journey.

This role would be ideal for an experienced Early Years practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3), or someone looking to begin their career in education through an apprenticeship or by undertaking a Teaching Assistant qualification.

The position is full-time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm within the EYFS setting. In addition, the role includes the opportunity to work as a Playworker in our Wraparound Club—Early Explorers—which supports children from Nursery to Year 1. These additional hours are required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 5:30pm.

There is also the option to support our Holiday Club, which runs during six weeks of the school holidays throughout the year—ideal for those looking for additional hours and experience.

You will be supporting pupils in Early Years, able to work flexibly to support the needs of the children. You’ll be joining a supportive school community where every role is valued and contributes to our mission: “to be the best that they can be.”
