Teaching Assistant job summary

Downton CofE Primary School have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, passionate and innovative Teaching Assistant, to join our wonderful team. The successful candidate will be a good team player, have a flexible approach and have the ability to develop positive behaviour strategies with children.

Applicants will be committed to supporting pupil’s learning and be enthusiastic to help pupils surpass their expectations.

This post is for 5 mornings a week as a Teaching Assistant and an hour a day as a Midday Supervisor Assistant

We are looking for candidates who:

Experience of working within a primary school with a working knowledge across EYFS/KS1/KS2

Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes

Good subject knowledge, particularly in English and Maths

Excellent communication skills

Experience of supporting pupils with additional needs
