Teaching Assistant job summary

Loxley Hall School are seeking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant to work within a class group assisting the teacher, supporting learning for all students, plus offering 1:1 support and related interventions.

The pupils who attend Loxley Hall come from all across Staffordshire and have Education Health Care Plans for Special Educational Needs for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties with resulting behavioural issues. Our aim at Loxley Hall School is to make our students feel safe, wanted and listened to. We are seeking someone who has patience, a sense of humour, lots of energy and enjoys working around young people.

We will provide essential training as part of our Staff Development Programme and will also work with the successful candidate to provide further training opportunities in line with their career aspirations.

Site visits are recommended and would be required if shortlisted. Please contact the main school office on 01889 723050 to arrange a visit. The candidate would be willing to work at both our Loxley Hall School site in Uttoxeter and Key Stage 4 Annexe in Armitage.
