Filey School is an 11-16 mixed community school serving the
coastal town of Filey and its surrounding villages. We have a proud heritage in

Opportunity

We are  seeking
to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, and committed Teaching Assistant to
join our team. You will be responsible for supporting students both
individually, and in small groups under the direction and support of our
pastoral and SENCO leader.

You will:

  • Ideally have previous experience in working
    with children and young people.
  • Have a genuine interest in supporting young
    people.
  • Be able to develop positive working
    relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals.
  • Be willing to undertake and act on relevant
    professional development and training.
  • Be able to support in the delivery of high-quality
    learning experiences for our students.
  • Have high expectations of learning and
    behaviour and inspire and motivate our students.
  • Be supportive, nurturing and understanding.
  • Seek to make learning exciting and a positive
    experience.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate good
    communication skills both orally and written.

Our Trust 

Coast and
Vale Learning Trust is a growing family of schools located on the beautiful
Yorkshire Coast. The Trust was founded by Scalby Secondary School but has grown
over the last few years to include Newby and Scalby Primary School, Friarage
Primary School and the Scarborough University Technical College (SUTC) in
Scarborough, Lady Lumley’s Secondary School in Pickering and Filey School. Our
