Teaching Assistant FINCH job summary

An exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving Alternative Provision – FINCH - based in West Haringey and attached to Fortismere school. We are looking for a teaching assistant who is flexible, creative and adaptable with a passion for changing lives thought education. Finch is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, student-centered individual to provide learning support & behaviour management to students within our provision as required.

About You:

You will be experienced in providing support in an educational setting, as a Teaching Assistant. You will support students to access their curriculum and other provision services. You may be asked to work with individuals in mentoring sessions or within a classroom, helping with tasks such as basic literacy and maths, and social interaction.

The successful candidate will have a passion to support a range of students with varied needs, e.g., students with ADHD, tourettes, emotionally based school avoidance, anxiety, medical conditions, etc.,
