Fixed Term (1 year until August 2024) Full Time, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only (including 5 Training Days) – FTE 0.8198 (39 weeks per year)

We are seeking an inspirational, dedicated and passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our thriving school, the successful candidate will join our highly effective team and share our values of aspiration, honesty and respect.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in the Foundation Stage Unit by learning through play, communication and the development of increasing independence. They will support the EYFS team in planning, resourcing and assessing on a day to day basis alongside ensuring robust systems of safeguarding and pupil safety are ensured at all times. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

In partnership with the EYFS staff, deliver a challenging, child-initiated programme of learning suitable to the age ranges and developmental needs of children in this stage of their education

Assist with planning and delivering activities which help children work towards achieving the early learning goals

Assist with providing a caring and stimulating environment for children which considers their developmental needs and allows them to reach their full potential.

Deliver daily phonics teaching and interventions in line with the whole school

Play an active role in observing children in their play to identify their individual needs and make recommendations to the EYFS team as appropriate.

The successful applicant will join our staff working under the instruction and guidance of experienced teaching staff, to undertake educational activities and attend to the educational, personal and social needs of pupils in order to support their learning and development whilst ensuring their safety.
