Teaching Assistant Grade 4 job summary

St Mary's Church of England School at the heart of Banbury is thriving and as we expand the number of children in school, we need to expand the number of amazing people who work to help them be their best selves.

  • We have flexible opportunities to join our Teaching Assistant team, working across KS1 and KS2 to support teaching and learning, deliver early reading and math sessions, support children with additional needs and generally be part of our community as we "Learn, Transform and Grow".
  • You may be new to school work, looking for a new professional challenge or always wanted to work with children. We want to hear from you!
  • You may be an experienced TA looking to move school, find a new perspective or just fancying a change. We want to hear from you!
  • You may be a teacher who just wants to step back into a support role, without the responsibility and accountability being the teacher caries. We want to hear from you! (and we may be able to offer a higher grade for suitable skill and experience in this case.)
  • You may be thinking about teaching as a career and looking to find out what it might be like or to get experience before ITT. WE want to hear from you!\

We can offer you:

- A team second to none, to work with you and support you and share their love of our children

-A well resourced school, with excellent IT facilities, sport and music specialist teaching, Forest School, art and creativity at every opportunity and playtimes that are simply the best (we are proud to be a two time holder of OPAL Platinum play award!)

-Training and professional development both within school and across our Trust. Current team members are completing apprenticeships and other qualifications in professional skills. All team members are fully trained in Read Write Inc. and Team Teach as well as a wide variety of support and intervention strategies.

- A staff wellbeing package including mental health and wellbeing support as well as physiotherapy and other options. We aim to always enable our team to have a happy and healthy work life balance.

- Our children! They are warm, funny and loving and want the very best adults around them to help them achieve even better outcomes.

The full working week is Monday - Friday 8.30-3.15 (33.75hrs)

There is the option for a reduced working pattern and if you would like us to consider this, please state what hours you would be looking to work in your application.

We would love to show you around school and share the opportunities available more fully with you. Please call the office on 01295 263026 to arrange a suitable time for us to welcome you.
