What skills and experience we're looking for

-Degree in relevant subject
-Excellent literacy and numeracy skills (minimum of grade 5 at GCSE or equivalent) in both English Language and Maths

-Subject knowledge and a desire to support within English, Maths or Science

-Ability to self-evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities
-Ability to relate well to children and adults
-Work constructively as part of a team
-Shows a personal commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of young people.
-Excellent interpersonal skills both in working relationship with young students and in forming effective professional relationships
-Enthusiasm, drive and love for the job
-Committed to high personal standards at all times
-Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people

Bournside is the largest comprehensive 11-18 school in Gloucestershire. We are an established single academy trust with a good reputation (Ofsted ‘Good’ rating 2022), wide catchment, and a strong presence in the community. Our school is consistently oversubscribed with a PAN of 300, and most of our students choose to stay with us for their
post-16 study.

Bournside is a mixed, non-denominational academy school for students aged 11 to 18. It is located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It settled in its current location of Warden Hill in the early part of the 1970s and converted to academy status in 2011.
