Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for two passionate, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in creating a nurturing environment where young learners feel safe, valued, and eager to explore the world around them.

With a strong focus on fostering creativity, curiosity and confidence, the successful candidates will work closely with the class team to provide a stimulating and supportive atmosphere—one that encourages every child to develop at their own pace. Through our continuous provision and personalised learning approach, you will play a vital role in laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

We implement continuous provision across the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Our team is highly skilled, and we are seeking candidates who are eager to embrace and contribute to our child-led pedagogy.

Supporting continuous provision requires a unique skill set.

  • Our ideal candidates will possess:Strong observational skills, enabling them to monitor children’s progress, interests, and developmental milestones, while ensuring each interaction is meaningful and supports learning.
  • Adaptability, to respond to children’s changing interests, needs, and abilities, and to collaborate with the class teacher in creating opportunities for independent learning, problem-solving, and exploration.
  • Effective communication, using engaging and supportive language to guide children’s learning through thoughtful questions, prompts, and encouragement.
  • Creativity and resourcefulness, in adapting challenges that inspire imagination, exploration and creative expression.
  • Team collaboration, working closely with colleagues to create, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of the continuous provision.
  • A commitment to inclusion, ensuring all children feel respected, valued, and supported within a diverse and welcoming learning environment.

If you are excited about early education, and believe in nurturing children through responsive, explorative learning, we would love to hear from you.
