Hilgay Riverside Academy, part of the Riverside Federation, are looking to appoint an excellent class teacher to teach a small mixed age class of Reception, Year 1 and 2 pupils; take responsibility as a subject leader and become part of our team. We are a church school with a strong Christian Ethos and we are a small school providing opportunity; delivering challenge and building respect.
We have developed a knowledge rich curriculum in partnership with other professionals, so our children receive a carefully sequenced, progressive curriculum that enables them to learn key concepts through a diverse range of contexts, in both place and time, building examples that children can draw upon as their understanding grows.
Through our partnership with PKC (Primary Knowledge Curriculum), we have created a mixed age, rolling programme that provides our children with the learning they need to be successful as they move onto the next stage of their lives.
We work in a federation with Ten Mile Bank Riverside Academy, sharing an Executive Head Teacher and governing body. Staff meetings, CPD, SENDCo and subject leadership are shared across the two schools and teachers work together to share planning wherever possible too.
As part of DEMAT, you will have access to ongoing CPD in a range of areas including developing a knowledge rich curriculum; our phonics programme; subject leadership; pedagogy and more.
We encourage candidates to visit the school but appreciate this may be difficult. However, please have a look at our website: https://www.hilgayriverside.norfolk.sch.uk.
