We are seeking a professional and hardworking teaching assistants to join our team on a permanent basis here at Hillside Primary School, where "Achieving Greatness Together" is our moto.

We are looking for people to be flexible to be able to cover all classes from nursery – year 6 within our school.

You will be working alongside the class teachers supporting high quality teaching and learning, also supporting the children’s learning and development through group work and individual one to one work, embedding the Primary curriculum. Leading interventions is a key part of our teaching assistants role.

You will be assisting the class teacher to organise and supervise practical activities through interacting with children and supporting their learning both inside and outside. You will enjoy working with children.

You will need to be:

  • experienced within the classroom environment and able to work across a range of year groups
  • reliable
  • a good timekeeper
  • confident when dealing with pupils
  • a good communicator
  • able to treat all children with respect, trust and kindness
  • calm and willing to undertake any training relevant to the post, including first aid.
