EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Scale D- 3 to 4

26 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week – (£12.84 to £13.05 per hour)

Magdalen Academy is a small, rural school which works alongside Wimbotsham and Stow Academy and St Germans Academy under the leadership one Headteacher. We have a well-established proactive staff team that are committed to the education of the whole child.

We aim to provide happy and supportive surroundings for the children in our care and have in place a wide range of learning experiences to ensure the full growth and development of the child – physically, intellectually, socially and morally.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic teaching assistant to work in our small village school. Your role will be to support pupils' learning and play a key role in their development; working closely with the class teacher to implement interventions and targeted group work.

You will be someone who:

Is passionate about working with children.

Full and relevant EYFS qualification is preferred

Has experience of working with children who require SEN provision.

Is creative and can think on their feet.

Has excellent numeracy/ literacy skills.

Is an excellent team player

Has a clear understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
