Teaching Assistant (Individual Healthcare Plans Lead) job summary
The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.
The core purpose of the role will be to work as part of the Additional Needs team to provide targeted support for identified pupils with Education Health Care Plans or on the school SEN register and to support pupils’ ability to overcome barriers to learning, developing/using relevant interventions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on the creation, review, and updating of all IHCPs for pupils with medical conditions.
- Liaise with parents, pupils, and external medical professionals to develop accurate and effective IHCPs.
- Ensure staff understand and follow IHCPs, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain clear, accurate healthcare records and plans in line with statutory guidance and school policy.
