We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant as detailed above, to join our committed and hardworking team at Jane Austen College.

You will be an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about raising achievement through motivating and inspiring students, who will also contribute to the vision and values of the school. You’ll have a minimum of GCSE grade C for English and maths or equivalent, and ideally you’ll have experience of working in Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience of working with students with special educational needs would be of benefit, although training will be provided as necessary.

The roles involve working in one-to-one and small group situations as well as assisting in whole class lessons. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team, following the direction of the teachers as well as working under your own initiative when necessary. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children with autism.
