TEACHING ASSISTANT 27.5 hours per week (9.00-3.00pm), term time only Required as soon as possible Grade C/Grade D (depending on experience) Grade C SCP 3-4, £18,065 - £18,426 plus SEN Allowance £1,324 pro rata (Actual salary: £11,411 - £11,639 plus SEN allowance £836) Grade D SCP 5-6, £18,795 - £19,171 plus SEN Allowance £1,324 pro rata (Actual salary: £11,872 - £12,109 plus SEN allowance £836) We are seeking a teaching assistant to join a successful and established Inclusion Faculty. The postholder will work with individuals and small groups who have specific educational needs. Experience with secondary pupils preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent is essential. We have very high expectations of all staff and for the right person this is a superb opportunity to develop skills through bespoke CPD provision and opportunities. You will be working in a modern, well-resourced, supportive environment, which has excellent facilities. Our last Ofsted inspection (December 2018) judged three criteria as ‘Good’ – effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment and personal development, behaviour and welfare. Inspectors highlighted the vastly improved leadership and high ambitions, which has helped to improve the quality of teaching and pupils’ behaviour.
