Here at the Hereford Academy we serve the community located to the south of the river Wye in the beautiful city of Hereford. We cater for students aged 11 to 16, striving to provide the best possible education and equip all our students to be well rounded and caring citizens who will make a positive contribution to society.

What are we looking for?

Join The Hereford Church of England Academy as a Teaching Assistant. Work under the guidance of the teaching staff and nominated teaching assistants to support access to learning for pupils, deliver interventions and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, including support for individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) and students with English as an Additional Language. This will include the preparation and routine maintenance of resources / equipment, assessment and recording. Work with pupils will be carried out in and out of the classroom.

We are looking for someone who ideally has two years’ work experience working in a school environment as a qualified Teaching Assistant. You will have good organisational, timekeeping and ICT skills. You will be well organised, have a calm and positive manner and enjoy supporting students aged 11 to 16 to succeed.

The role offers lots of varied responsibilities so you should be comfortable with every day being different and as a result we are looking for someone that thrives in that type of environment.
