Teaching Assistant job summary
We’re looking for enthusiastic and inspiring Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team at Larkmead School. This role is ideal for anyone passionate about education and eager to positively impact students' lives, supporting their learning and personal development. You will be working alongside talented staff, supporting students with SEND across the curriculum at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
The work would mostly be in the classroom supporting students in lessons led by the subject teacher but could also involve working with a student or small group of students in the Learning Support Base on a programme agreed by the Head of Learning Support.
The successful applicant will need to be adaptable, be prepared to work with students with emotional as well as learning difficulties and be able to work effectively within a team.
Contracted hours are 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 3.30pm this includes a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday term time only. There is some flexibility on number of days worked, but due to the nature of the work, not on our start and finish times.
