As a short-term intervention service, KPLC supports children at risk of permanent exclusion, fostering positive educational and social outcomes. TEACHING ASSISTANT
32.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year - term time plus 5 inset days.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with high expectations for learning to join our specialist provision. You will work closely with pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will involve supporting pupils in small groups, one-to-one settings, and within the classroom environment, as well as supervising playtimes and lunchbreaks.
A degree of flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the children and the school.
Experience working with children, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience, flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork are essential.
Experience working with children with SEMH and SEN would be a strong advantage.
