At Chaffinch Brook we are very proud of our school and of the children that come to our school. We aim to ensure that our children are cared for, nurtured, respected and that we provide a school that allows each and every child to flourish. We strongly believe that children who have Autism can learn, make progress and succeed with committed and knowledgeable good Autism practice.

We believe that everyone in school should enjoy their learning and feel proud of their achievements. To fulfil this, we provide a curriculum which gives equal value to developing children’s academic, social, physical and emotional understanding. Our aim is to prepare every child so that they can make a positive contribution to the society in which they live and that they can function in the fast changing world in which they find themselves. Through fostering a lifelong love of learning, we hope to help our pupils to live a full and happy adult life.

As a school community we believe that children thrive when the entire school community – pupils, parents, carers, staff, governors and the wider community come together. We strongly value the relationship we have with our parents/carers and recognise that effective partnerships are essential. We appreciate and value the support our parents/carers give us and the role they play in enriching our children’s experiences and supporting their child’s education. Parents/carers are always most welcome into school to help or to discuss their child’s progress or any matters of concern.
