What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who really cares about helping students to succeed.

We are looking for someone who is kind, reliable and has a passion for working in the classroom or one to one, is enthusiastic and builds rapport well with staff and students alike.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of current practices on supporting children’s learning and behaviour management strategies, as well as a good understanding of areas of learning such as literacy, numeracy and science. You will hold an NVQ for Teaching Assistants or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.

An ideal position if you are considering a career in teaching. It will give you an opportunity to see different teaching and learning styles, as well as experience and appreciate wider school life. You will have the ability to attend the de Ferrers Trust 'Teacher Training Seminars'.

This is a Part-time role working 23.75 hours per week, 39 weeks, term-time plus, INSET Days.
