At King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes, part of the Great Schools Trust, we are seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 1) to join our forward-thinking and ambitious academy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant school community where students are encouraged to excel academically and personally.
What You’ll Be Doing:Supporting classroom activities and helping to create a positive learning environment
Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and student supervision
Providing one-on-one and small group support, particularly for students with special educational needs (SEN)
Supporting literacy and numeracy activities and helping assess student progress
Encouraging students’ personal and social development in line with our ASPIRE values: Achievement, Self-awareness, Professionalism, Integrity, Respect, and Endeavour
GCSEs (or equivalent) including at least Grade 4 (C) in English and Maths
Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification or the desirability to complete a qualification
Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting
A positive attitude and strong communication skills
The ability to support children with special educational needs (SEN)
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to student well-being
