Teaching Assistant (Level 2) 1:1 SEN job summary

Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC are looking to recruit a TA2 to work 1:1 with a named child. This fixed term role will be based at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, Rugby, Warwickshire to start January 2026, 27.5 hours per week Term Time + 5 INSET Days

The successful candidate will:

  • Be creative, and understand in particular how neurodivergent children learn and be able to form excellent relationships with the pupil, parents and colleagues.
  • The role is predominantly on a 1:1 basis with a named child who has additional needs (SEND) in addition to undertaking other duties which support the education and well-being of all pupils.
  • You will be expected to maintain the high standards established in our school and use strategies in liaison with the teacher to support pupils to achieve their full potential in their learning.
  • You will also be expected to prepare, maintain and use any equipment/resources required in order to deliver the planned relevant leaning activity, and support the named child with care needs, including intimate care.

The successful candidate will be someone who:
