Teaching Assistant - Level 2/3 job summary

We are looking to expand our friendly team at Lordship Farm primary school with the appointment of an additional teaching assistant. The role is fixed-term until July 2026 and is full time, 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, to support the teacher with classroom based assistance and intervention groups.

You will need to be an inclusive practitioner with a big heart and someone who is passionate about supporting every child to reach their potential, whatever their barrier may be.

Requirements

Essential

L2 Qualification in supporting children’s education/L3 preferable

GCSE (or equivalent) pass in Mathematics and English

Desirable

Recent experience of working with a primary school setting supporting pupils with SEND/Behavioural needs

Positive outlook and resilience

Herts Steps Therapeutic Thinking experience

Start date: ASAP

Salary advertised is full time and will need to be pro-rata against the hours and weeks worked.
