What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join our SEND team as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. Each day, you will provide individual support toour students in Key Stages 3 and 4, creating opportunities to help them reach their potential indifferent subject areas, ranging from music and drama to PE and science.You will also support students to build confidence and self-esteem, so they can participate in learning and experience a real sense of achievement.
As well as working with subject teachers in the classroom, you will have the opportunity to deliver and supervise small group interventions which support a range of need types.
The working hours are from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm on 3 days a week during the school term. One day will be Friday and the other two days will be agreed with the successful candidate. Your actual salary is £11,192 per annum, and this is paid in 12 equal instalments over the year so even when it is the summer holidays, you continue to receive the same payment that month. This role is fixed term until 31 August 2025.
