What skills and experience we're looking for

York High School is seeking two Teaching Assistants to join their Inclusion Team, supporting students with special educational needs.

This is an opportunity for skilled individuals to work in key posts that contribute directly to the care of young people at York High School. You will support teaching and learning by working with individual or small groups of students, helping young people achieve their potential and supporting independent learning and inclusion.

You will have GCSE English and maths qualifications at grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications, and experience of working with children or young people. You will have good communication skills with the ability to communicate and build appropriate relationships with a range of staff, students and their families. A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning and further qualifications are desirable.

The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
