The Opportunity

St George’s is an inner city primary school looking to appoint a full time Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early learning, to work in our Early Years Foundation Stage.

The successful candidate will be part of our experienced and friendly Foundation Stage team and will support the learning of children in Reception. You will work with children with a wide range of needs, and therefore experience of, or an interest in working with children with additional needs is essential. You will be given training in teaching Read Write Inc, phonics and supporting the delivery of the drawing club. You will play an important role in making observations which will feed into assessments of pupil progress. Most importantly, you will interact with the children to understand their learning needs and interests, to move their learning forward and provide nurture and support.
