Teaching Assistant Level 2 and Level 3 job summary

Due to the planned retirement of staff, Orrets Meadow School, a proud part of Oak Trees Multi Academy Trust has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistant to become part of our team from 1st September 2026.

The Teaching Assistant role will be full time hours of 36 per week, 39 weeks per year and permanent; subject to a possible statutory probationary period. There can be some flexibility with the hours worked.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated person who has a passion to work at Orrets Meadow, with pupils with a wide range of Special Needs. It is therefore essential the successful applicant has an excellent understanding of how to effectively support the needs of pupils with SEND, in terms of learning and pastoral care. Experience working with complex learning difficulities would be advantageous, however not essential.

The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, use own initiative and be able to adapt easily to the pupils and environment around them.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and will follow a stringent vetting and induction process.
