It’s time to work in a job that you love.

Change the lives of young people at Broadoak, as you work close with our SENDCo, being an influence who believes, makes a difference and supports them to achieve beyond their expectations.

With increasing numbers of children with Special Educational Needs across the academy we are looking for someone who has a passion to make a difference.

Candidates must be inspirational with a passion for learning; a commitment to high standards of achievement and a willingness to contribute to the further development of the academy.

Join an innovative, forward- thinking school with a strong commitment to children achieving the best they can.

Be a part of the Oasis family of academies transforming schools into community hubs through a holistic view of education.

Our Academy is a fantastic place to study and work and there really is no better time to join our team! We're delighted to say that we're an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in all areas. We are incredibly proud of all that we have achieved and are looking for a great candidate to join us.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, creative and motivated SEND TA2. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in predominantly working with a SEND pupil, mainly on a one to one basis in a classroom setting but sometimes in a group, during lunchtime and break times to model appropriate behaviour and encourage participation. The role will also involve personal care and manual handling. We are looking for a staff member who has a passion or specialism in the area: speech, language and communication needs.

You will need to be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our staff team and will:

  • Have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards for a child with SEND
  • Will make learning exciting, memorable and bespoke for the pupil in collaboration with the class teacher
  • Have experience and a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils, including pupils with complex needs
  • Be trained, or a willingness to be trained, in manual handling.
  • Undertake personal care
  • Under the direction of the teacher, to support effective teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups of students.

We will offer you

  • A positive and innovative learning culture supported by students, staff, parents and OCL governance.
  • A professional, hardworking and supportive team
  • A competitive salary and benefits including a generous pension scheme.
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • The opportunity to join an organisation with a natural reputation for consistently improving results and facilitating community transformation.

Our Academy

As a school community we want our children to have learning at their heart and have teachers who ignite their curiosity – together developing a love and independence for learning through a broad, relevant and active curriculum. They have a right to an aspiration and a sense of self-worth that comes from achievement and challenge, leading to outstanding progress so that they have all the skills they need for the next stage of their life.

Our Academy ethos is firmly rooted in our values, with a shared responsibility for our own learning and choices' the foundation of everything we do. As part of the Oasis Community Learning family, we promote the Oasis Ethos and our pupils benefit from an unwavering belief fully integrated into academy life.

Interviews week commencing 29th September 2025
