Carlton Mills is a new, rapidly improving primary school of around 330 students based close to the centre of Bradford. Carlton Mills is an Ofsted 2023 rated Good primary school with an Outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage. In 2024 we were awarded two prestigious awards recognising our outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage at both the TES and Pearson National Teaching awards. We are also officially a World Class School and part of the esteemed Carlton Academy Trust (CAT).
Established in 2019, Carlton Academy Trust emerged from the outstanding success of Carlton Bolling, an inner-city Bradford secondary school. Today, we proudly oversee three secondary schools, three primary schools, and three special schools, collectively educating nearly 5000 students, and employing almost 1,000 members of staff. All CAT schools are rated either Outstanding or Good by Ofsted.
Carlton Mills is an integral part of a diverse and very supportive local community, with parents/carers regularly welcomed into school to be part of their child’s learning journey. The Trust has recently introduced a new inspirational curriculum following the ’Real People, Real Places, Real Learning' agenda to bring learning and new opportunities to life. We also seek to create links to the local community/businesses to enhance and develop our broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that our students have the highest aspirations within and beyond the communities in which they live.

Our school can offer:
A highly supportive and caring community
Friendly and enthusiastic children who are eager to learn
A vibrant, fun, and lively learning environment
A strong commitment to supporting your further professional development
