Teaching Assistant [Level 2] job summary

Working Pattern: 36 hours per week/39 weeks per year (term-time), Monday to Friday.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated individual to join the team, where you'll support students’ learning and personal development, including those with special needs. Use your creativity and organisational skills to deliver tailored support, foster independence, and make a real difference in a vibrant school community committed to excellence and inclusion.

Support teachers by delivering and adapting educational programs for pupils, including those with special needs. Provide specialised assistance, encourage independence, and attend to pupils' personal and physical care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialised support for pupils or groups, using appropriate tools and interventions.
  • Assist with personal care routines and respond to routine medical needs.
  • Plan, organise, and prioritise own tasks to meet objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow school policies.
  • Collaborate with staff and report concerns, including safeguarding issues.
  • Uphold school values, health and safety, and equality standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) with basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work towards Level 2 vocational qualifications or demonstrate specialist skills.
  • Competence with IT tools, strong communication, and organisational skills.
  • Physical ability to handle manual tasks and work collaboratively.
