Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Reception job summary
It is an exciting time to join Glenvale! Having served the Wilby community for 170 years, we secured the opportunity to move into a fantastic, new, purpose-built school building on the Glenvale Park development. We moved to this new space in September 2024, and we are continuing to expand and grow.
We now require two Teaching Assistants to join our committed team as we embark on our journey to becoming a two-form entry school. We are looking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are eager to support and inspire the wonderful children in our school.
We have two posts available:
Contract 1: 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Actual Annual salary is £17,274.38 - £17,545.38
Contract 2: 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Actual Annual salary is £15,834.85 - £16,083.27
We are looking for someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community
- Has experience of working in a school based nursery, or Reception class
- Has a good understanding of the Early Years Framework and early childhood development
- Can work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum
- Has the ability to work effectively, flexibly, and independently
- Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations
- Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being within the Early Years
- Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school
