What skills and experience we're looking for
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our fantastic team at Piper Hill High School
This is a permanent, Grade 4 post working 35 hours per week term time only plus 1 week. The starting salary is £22,710 and the full time equivalent is £26,403.
The successful candidate spend 16 hours per week providing 1:1 support for a Post 16 student with the support of a TA4. The remainder of the working hours will be providing support across the school.
Main purpose of the job:
To be a part of a team providing exceptional education for students so that they become happy, confident adults. The post holders will support teaching and learning across school, providing general support in the management of pupils and resources.
Under the guidance of teaching/senior support staff, provide support for pupils who require help to enable access to learning and to assist in the management of pupils.
Provide specialist support of curriculum and to supervise groups and occasionally whole classes for a session/lesson in the classroom or outside the main teaching area as required.
Key relationships:
To work under the supervision of the class teacher, department lead Senior Leadership Team and Head teacher.
The post holder will also work with Parents and external agencies under the guidance of the class teacher.
