About the role

Hob Moor Oaks special school have an exciting opportunity to welcome a hardworking SEN Teaching Assistant Level 3. This a temporary position and is to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during the school term time.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.

You will have the ability to build a good rapport with parents and carers and the wider school community.

Job requirements

You will be expected to work across the school individually with pupils and/or with groups in class. Our pupils require high levels of adult support not only to access the school curriculum but also with personal care routines.

You should have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff, have positive behaviour management skills, and be flexible and able to work on your own initiative.

The ideal candidate will possess the relevant qualifications, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience to support the pupils’ learning, with particular passion and creativity for child development, play and interaction, whilst performing the professional duties outlined in our person specification.
