Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint 2 x Level 3 Teaching Assistant's at St. Paul's Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy . The role provides an opportunity to interested candidates who do not currently hold their Level 3 qualification to work towards obtaining this via an Apprenticeship.

The role:

To work with groups of pupils under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and the implementation of ILPs

To assist the teacher in ensuring a safe classroom and outdoor environment

To prepare the classroom for lessons, including displaying work and clearing afterwards

To supervise groups and occasionally whole classes for a session/lesson in the classroom or outside the main teaching area as required

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong moral and ethical principles and values
  • Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations
  • Be open to new ideas, committed to working as part of a team and of course have a good sense of humour
  • Act with the utmost integrity at all times
