About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant Level 3, you’ll play a vital role in our classrooms, working closely with teachers to support children’s learning and well-being. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils, including those with special educational needs.
What You’ll Do- Support Pupils: Help individuals or groups with their learning, including literacy, numeracy, and accessing the curriculum. Provide tailored support for children with SEN, behavioral, or emotional needs.
- Assist Teachers: Contribute to lesson planning, classroom preparation, and evaluation. Support behavior management strategies and provide cover for short periods when required.
- Enhance School Life: Promote social and emotional development, foster positive relationships, and contribute to the health and well-being of all pupils.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent).
- Has experience supporting children in a classroom environment, including those with special educational needs.
- Demonstrates strong communication, active listening, and teamwork skills.
- Shows an ability to adapt learning activities to meet pupils’ needs and consistently implement behavior management strategies.
- Is committed to their own professional development and the ethos of the school.
