Teaching Assistant (Level 3) job summary
About Us: Finch Woods Academy caters for primary and secondary-aged pupils who present with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and complex needs. The academy provides personalised care and support to empower every pupil to gain qualifications, develop essential social skills, and build self-confidence for a happy and fulfilling future.
Key Requirements: We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant, who is committed to improving the outcomes and life chances of young people with complex special educational needs, and who have the ability to inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will have had experience of working with children with additional needs and behavioural problems is desirable, but not essential.
The new Teaching Assistant will be able to work as part of a dedicated and committed team of professionals in a range of academic and pastoral areas. Candidates must be able to build positive relationships and manage pupils’ behaviour effectively within a classroom environment. An ability to be proactive, resourceful and energetic is essential.
