Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with teaching and other educational support staff. You will provide learning support for pupils, working with small groups of children as directed by teaching staff within a structured teaching situation or individually as required in accordance with academy policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be working with a range of children from EYFS through to Year 4; including children with SEN and children who are EAL, supporting their individual social, emotional and learning needs and ensuring access to learning opportunities at Newington Primary Academy. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and drive to join our team and work closely with staff to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils.

Successful candidates should:

* Be level 3 qualified in a relevant field
* Have a detailed understanding of the importance of positive behaviour management
* Complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.
* Encourage and support a child with Special Educational Needs in line with their support plan and the academy's targets and curriculum.
* Be flexible and have experience across all primary ages.
* Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils
* Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience
* Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
