Teaching Assistant - Level 3 job summary

Do you have what it takes to shape the future of a young person with special education needs? Would you have the skill set to help pupils bridge gaps in their knowledge and understanding?

We seek a new Learning Support Assistant (Level 3) to help guide and support our more vulnerable pupils on their journey through key stage 3 and 4.

Ideally required to start as soon as possible, the role is 27.5 hours per week (term time only) Pro rata salary £16,932 to £18,047, but with opportunities to undertake additional paid duties within/after the school day.

You will have relevant experience of working with children with special educational needs and have a committed, caring and positive approach to working in this challenging, but rewarding environment. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills; be able to work independently using your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Whilst a number of pupils get individual support, you will be part of a team supporting a child to ensure each pupils has a strong structure in place. As expected, effective communication skills and an awareness of Health and Safety issues are essential.
