Teaching Assistant - Level 3 plus Midday Supervisory Assistant Level 1

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 25 hours Monday to Friday for TA role and an additional 5 hours on a Midday Supervisory Assistant contract (MDSA) Term time only plus 5 training days

Salary: TA Level 3a £13.26 per hour and MDSA Level 1d £12.65 per hour

Start: 5 January 2026

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant, qualified to Level 3 with a caring nature and kind personality. We can offer you a community of keen children, a hardworking, motivated and caring team and a professional and supportive work environment, with a commitment to developing your skills.

It is essential the candidate has the following attributes:

  • NVQ Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification or experience
  • The ability to be flexible and work as part of a team
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Have high expectations of pupil achievement and progress
  • Knowledge of how to support teaching and learning effectively and efficiently
  • Knowledge of ways to adapt and personalise learning to cater for the needs of individual children, particularly those with additional needs
  • A range of behaviour management strategies, underpinned by a calm and caring approach

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
