Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Qualified) job summary
Would you like to help guide children in their first stages of their learning? Are you kind and supportive and enjoy helping children to learn? The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, resilient and dedicated to making a difference to children's learning. You will need to enjoy working with children and be passionate and committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals. This role will help support pupils to access all aspects of learning and self-help skills. You will work closely with class teachers and phase leaders.
You MUST hold an NVQ Level 3 in the Early Years or Education and a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C or above) with a high standard of written and spoken English. First Aid qualifications would be desirable.
This permanent position will be for a total of 30 hours per week (08:45 - 15:15 with a 30 minute break). You would be expected to attend all INSET days.

Cherry Tree Primary School is situated in North Watford, near the Asda/Sainsbury’s Dome roundabout. We have two classes in each year group. We have well equipped classrooms, extensive grounds, a multi-use games area, an allotment, an outside classroom and wildlife area. We converted to academy status on 1st February 2018 and we are part of the Inclusive Multi Academy Trust (IMAT).
