What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Be an excellent practitioner who has experience of working with vulnerable children who have complex needs.
  • Be committed to working within the SEND Code of Practice
  • Has an understanding of ways to enable children with Social Communication and Interaction needs to flourish
  • Has an understanding of ways to enable children with Speech and Language needs to make rapid progress
  • Is committed to an all-inclusive philosophy to education
  • Is able to work and contribute effectively within the school’s SEND team and EYFS team
  • Is able to communicate with, enthurse and inspire children
  • Moitoring of pupils progress.
  • Participation in extracurricular activities.
  • Use specialist (curriculuar/learning) skills/training/experience

  • Support pupils with SEND
  • Assist the development and implementation of EHCPs.
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
  • Experience of providing a stimulating, fun, engaging and educational environment for all children
  • Be keen to work in partnership with teachers and as part of a cohesive team
  • Be flexible in order to respond to the needs of the children
  • Have the ability to build excellent relationships and work positively with children, colleagues, parents and the community
