What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:
- Be an excellent practitioner who has experience of working with vulnerable children who have complex needs.
- Be committed to working within the SEND Code of Practice
- Has an understanding of ways to enable children with Social Communication and Interaction needs to flourish
- Has an understanding of ways to enable children with Speech and Language needs to make rapid progress
- Is committed to an all-inclusive philosophy to education
- Is able to work and contribute effectively within the school’s SEND team and EYFS team
- Is able to communicate with, enthurse and inspire children
- Moitoring of pupils progress.
- Participation in extracurricular activities.
- Use specialist (curriculuar/learning) skills/training/experience
- Support pupils with SEND
- Assist the development and implementation of EHCPs.
- Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
- Experience of providing a stimulating, fun, engaging and educational environment for all children
- Be keen to work in partnership with teachers and as part of a cohesive team
- Be flexible in order to respond to the needs of the children
- Have the ability to build excellent relationships and work positively with children, colleagues, parents and the community
