Sundon Lower School, nestled in the beautiful countryside to the north of Luton, is a small village school with a genuine family feel. We pride ourselves on our values-based education and a close-knit team where everyone knows everyone. This fosters a warm, positive, and caring ethos that's truly at the heart of our school. We boast fantastic facilities, including excellent indoor and outdoor environments specifically designed for continuous provision, fostering exploration and child-initiated learning. We are proud to serve a diverse cohort of children from the village and surrounding areas, including those from Luton. Our children are looking for a kind, caring, and supportive teaching assistant who will inspire their curiosity and development, and support them pastorally.
Our mixed Nursery and Reception class is led by a class teacher, supported by this Level 3 practitioner, and additional adults as required. As the Level 3 Teaching Assistant in our Early Years setting, you will work closely with both our Nursery and Reception children, supporting educational activities and helping pupils learn effectively both through supporting their play and leading small group sessions. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of Early Years practice, as well as a commitment to promoting equality and diversity. Working collaboratively as part of our team, you'll use sound judgment and common sense to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive. We are looking for someone who can take responsibility and work with autonomy within set boundaries, as well as work well as part of a team.
We can offer a highly supportive environment, a truly friendly staff team, and excellent opportunities for professional development, including the chance to work closely with Early Years teams from across the Pyramid Schools Trust, to help you grow in your career.
Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged! Please contact us at office@sundonlower.co.uk to arrange a visit and experience our wonderful school in action.
